Introduction

My name is Brynn. I have a great husband that is in school full time and a wonderful 3 year old son.
I'm also a recovering shopaholic. I'm glad we got that out of the way...
I wanted to make a blog that allows the ordinary family to save a little bit of money here and there. I also wanted to make sure we were all saving time. I'm addicted to a good sale, a killer bargain and of course coupon clipping. After years of paying whatever I wanted whenever I wanted I'm having to "change my ways" in this economy. Here are my two cents on saving money.

COUPONS:
These are a must. I went to Walmart and spent almost $250 buying in bulk and getting groceries for a month and a half. I used a load of coupons. I saved nearly $12 on every day groceries, nothing special, not buy two get one free coupons either, just regular coupons. They really do add up.

SAVING TIME:
My time saving tip of the week is on cleaning. I notice that we have a lot of dust around our house. If I wasn't on medicine I'd be dusting 24/7!! The thing I get the most frustrated with is the TV. TIP- Use a dryer sheet and lightly go over the screen. Don't push too hard or it gets greasy, but a little goes a long way and it will keep the dust off a lot longer than dusting itself.

RECIPE OF THE WEEK:
I don't know about you but I get really low on ideas about halfway through the month for food. I also have a picky eater. Here is a recipe that everyone enjoys.
Cheesy Potatoes and Ham (based on a family of 3)
peel and cube 5 potatoes
use pre-cut ham or cut your own bulk ham approx. 1 cup
4 Tblsp. butter or margarine
1/2 c. cubed velveeta cheese
1/2 c. milk
1/2 c. shredded cheddar cheese
salt and pepper to taste
Mix all ingredients and bake covered at 350 degrees for 45 min. or until potatoes are cooked through. Serve with your favorite veggie and fruit.
